The ASC Career Trek: MEDPACE event is occurring on March 13th during spring break from 1:00pm to 3:30pm in Cincinnati.

This event will include:

-A tour of the MedPace Facility

-A Chance to observe a Clinical Research Associate working with medical staff

Medpace has space for 45 life science students to participate in this event! Their preference is for juniors, seniors and graduate students, but freshmen & sophomores are welcome to register as well.

Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the event. Priority registration is February 16th. Students who register prior to February 16, 2019 will be notified of acceptance to the Medpace Career Trek by February 22nd. Analytical Technician

Owens Corning Granville S&T has an opening for a technician level analyst to work in The Corporate Analytical Laboratory.  This position is in a corporate lab that services the technical needs of all of OC’s business units around the globe.  The position includes routine and non-routine sample preparation along with completing qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on a wide range of materials.  This will include the characterization of various raw materials used to make the products as well as the finished product itself.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year college degree in a hard science, B.S. in Chemistry or B.S. in Materials/Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • experience working in a chemical laboratory with various analytical or QC instrumentation

Ohio At Home Healthcare Agency currently has a need for home health aides to cover the hours of clients.
The clients in need primarily live directly across the street from the OSU Wexner Medical Center and has a stop on the CLN/CLS routes, making it perfect for OSU class schedules and those who lives in the dorms. Student Safety can also be accessed at this location. 
 
Supported clients have developmental disabilities ranging from children with autism to adults with paraplegia/quadriplegia. This is a great way for pre-health students to gain patient care experience, but they also hire students studying other disciplines. They have aides who have majors in other areas like music and languages. Ohio At Home believes everyone’s interests and hobbies can benefit the lives of clients. 
 
There are a range of hours available, including overnight, afternoon and evening shifts. There is particular need for availabilities during the following shifts: 
-Wednesday’s 12am-8am (arriving Tuesday night and leaving at 8am Wednesday morning)
-Wednesday’s 7pm-12am
-Saturday’s 12am-8am (arriving Friday night and leaving at 8am Saturday morning)
-Saturday’s 7pm-12am
