Qualtrics Campus Visit & Job Opportunity

Qualtrics will be attending the Spring Career Fair to recruit mathematics and hard sciences students into their Product Specialist team, which acts as the training ground for the future leaders of the company, as well as hosting a campus immersion day on February 23 to inform students this new job opportunity in the company.

2016 Spring Career Fair

The Spring Career Fair is on Wednesday, February 24 from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom at the Ohio Union.

The career fair is particularly important to graduating seniors as employers will be recruiting for full-time positions and entry-level training programs. In addition, there will be internship opportunities and chances to network for first, second, and third-year students.

While no registration is required to attend, students are encouraged to look at what organizations will be represented by clicking here. Many organizations are looking for life science majors, such as LabCorps, Medpace, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and The Peace Corps, among many other.

Cargill Visit to Ohio State

The deadline to apply for an interview spot is February 16.

Cargill, a company that provides food, agriculture, financial, and industrial products and services, will be visiting Ohio State on February 24. 

Recruiters from the Quality team will be in room 118 of the Parker Food Science Building from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The informational session will cover the different opportunities Cargill can provide in the science field.

On Tuesday, January 26 the Summer Internship and Opportunity Fair will take place in the Ohio Union Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom from 1-6 pm.

Full-time Chemist Opportunity at Oakwood Labs

Oakwood Labs is currently seeking OSU students for a full-time chemistry opportunity.

This position will include responsibilities for analytical development of pharmaceutical products for Oakland and its partners. Hands-on laboratory work will be used to aid in the development of inject able pharmaceutical products.

Basic training will be obtained through guidance of experienced professionals.

Some of the obligations are listed here:

1. Conducts analytical testing to support the development and validation of analytical methods for drug products, intermediates and excipients.

2. Maintains complete records of testing data and results.

3. Assists with the operations of the Research and Development Lab.

4. Maintains professional and technical knowledge.

5. Contributes to the effective operation of the department and the overall success of the Company.

OSU Graduate and Professional School Fair

The sixth annual OSU Graduate and Professional School Fair will be held on Thursday, November 5 from 4:30 – 6:00 PM in the Ohio Union Great Hall Meeting Rooms 1 & 2.

Admission representatives from more than twenty OSU programs, pre-law and pre-health advisors, and arts and sciences career counselors will be available to answer questions.  This is a great opportunity for students who are new to OSU to begin to think about coursework, extracurricular activities, and co-curricular opportunities that will help them to prepare for graduate or professional school admissions.  It is also a good opportunity for students who are approaching graduation to learn what they need to do in order to apply to an OSU program.

This Fair is an option for Student Success Series credit.

Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.

Research and Development Opportunity: Proctor & Gamble

Procter & Gamble seeks candidates from the life and physical sciences, particularly Biology, Biochem, Chemistry, and Microbiology majors, for both full time and part time research and development roles.
