The Fairfield County Tractor Maintenance 4-H Club started the program on Jan 11, 2021. They have met many times since as well, when the weather agrees. The group does their business meeting first and then they break out into smaller groups that are more specific to each 4-Her’s level of knowledge about tractor maintenance. Each group ranges from learning about the different parts and how they work, tractor maintenance, small engine repair and operation. There are 18 4-H members participating in the program. The club is specific to tractor maintenance and their club meeting in the winter prior to other traditional clubs meeting dates, typically starting in the spring and going till fall.
The club had their last meeting on March 29, 2021 where members received their final project grades and end of the year certificates. Dave Foltz talked about the importance of the trade industry and participating in programs that teach hands-on skills. They also celebrated Roger Ruble for 60 years of volunteer service to the Fairfield County 4-H Program.
If you have any interest in joining this club next year or questions, please contact the Fairfield County 4-H Extension Office (740-653-5419).
