The ACS Scholars Program is more than just a scholarship, it’s a network of passionate chemical professionals who want to help and support future chemists during a crucial time in their lives.
The program is a community that dedicates itself to representing minority students from high school seniors to undergraduate students who want to study chemical sciences. Scholars are chosen based on career objective, academic standing, leadership skills, financial need and involvement in school or community activities.
Of the previous scholars in the ACS Scholars Program:
- Over 300 have completed a Ph.D. program
- More than 50% of alumni chose to purse higher degrees
- 90% earned baccalaureate degrees with 80% in the chemical sciences
