GAP-Year Opportunities EXPO

Tuesday, March 24th from 11:00am-2:00pm in the Ohio Union, Great Hall room. A fair designed for students planning to take 1-2 years away from school prior to graduate or professional school. This fair will have volunteer, paid and fee-based programs. Examples include AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, 3rd Party Contract Recruiters as well as travel abroad, healthcare and many more! RSVP here.

Career and Internship Fair Autumn 2019

The Ohio State University’s Autumn 2019 Career and Internship Fair is quickly approaching! The event will occur on Tuesday, Septemeber 17 and Wednesday, September 18 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Ohio Union. There will also be an Interview Day on Thursday, September 19 if applicable.

Join us for our university-wide career fair connecting students across all majors, graduate programs and degree levels with employers seeking to recruit for career employment, internships, and co-ops.

Never been to a career and internship fair before? The Office of Student Life will be putting on several preparatory events leading up to the career fair for students! These events span from what to wear and what to expect, to best practices from applying to specific fields, and everything in between to help students and recent alumni land their ideal internship or position. OSU Spring Career Fair

The Ohio State University Spring Career Fair will be held on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The event will take place in both the Ohio Union Grand Ballroom and the Ohio Union Performance Hall.

Employers at the fair are seeking candidates across a vast range of disciplines. There will be both full-time, entry level positions and summer internships available.

Selected students will receive an interview invitation on February 20th, and will interview on February 21st.

More information regarding the event is available on the ASC Career Services website. They also offer a list of registered employers and preparation tips. No pre-registration is necessary, but a valid BuckID is required to enter the fair on the day of the event.

2018 Summer Internship & Opportunity Fair

The 2018 Summer Internship & Opportunity Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1-5pm in the Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom of the Ohio Union. This fair is open to all Ohio State students and is designed to connect students with organizations recruiting for summer internships, summer volunteer opportunities, and part-time or full-time summer employment.

More information about the fair can be found on the event’s webpage. ASC Career Services also offers a listing of all the organizations registered for the event. The list is updated as each organization registers.

Mock Interviews

The Career Services Office will be organizing a Mock Interview event, allowing students to practice interviewing skills and to network with alumni and recruiters. The interviews will be held on April 13th and 14th , with time slots available from 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm on both days.

Both alumni volunteers and recruiter contacts will be assisting students by conducting practice interviews. Alumni and recruiters participating in the Mock Interview event represent a wide range of majors at OSU, and their degrees include majors in Russian, English, Philosophy, Political Science, Journalism, Marketing, and Nutrition to name just a few. They represent a variety of organizations (eg. Columbus Metropolitan Library, Stanley Steemer, Speedway, Abbott Nutrition, Nationwide Insurance, etc..) and work in roles ranging from Volunteer Services Manager to IT Manager or Vice President of Human Resources.
