Thank you to those clubs who have been collecting caps for the Fairfield County Junior Leaders Bottle Cap Project! We were able to collect 6,714 lbs of plastic bottle caps!!
We are excited to be able to offer outdoor furniture for sale to our community, and work with sponsors for new items at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds!

Thank you to all the 4-H Clubs who collected plastic bottle caps for the Fairfield County 4-H Junior Leaders! Now we need your help to sell benches and tables to put those caps to good use. Any outdoor furniture purchased is for that customer’s own use and will need to be picked up from the Ag Center (831 College Ave, Lancaster). A fillable order form can be found here. To order an item, complete an order form above. Checks can be made out to the Fairfield County Junior Leaders. Please drop off order forms and payment to the OSU Extension Office by July 5, 2024.
These items will be ordered mid-July and will be available for pick up in August. More details will be shared with those who purchase an item as timelines are finalized.

The FINAL Weigh In will be Saturday, June 22nd from 10am-Noon, Fairfield County Fairgrounds #4 Beef Barn! You can drive through the barn, drop your caps off to the Junior Leaders at the scale, and be on your way! If you have questions, please contact our office at 740-653-5419.

The Junior Leaders are a countywide teen leadership group that focuses on 4-H community service, leadership, and more! Their big events include planning the Fairfield County 4-H Advisor Recognition, Countywide Cloverbud Events, and the Bottle Cap Bench Project!

Our goal is to purchase ten 6′ benches for the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. If your club would like to fundraise to purchase a bench for your club (cost: $550), contact Aubry (Fowler.443@osu.edu) for more details about this optional opportunity.
