Fairfield County teens have an outstanding legacy with successful Ohio 4-H Achievement Forms. In fact, we had 9 state winners in 2020 alone! Join this group of outstanding teens by completing the Ohio 4-H Achievement Form which opens the door to so many opportunities including:

The 2021 Ohio 4-H Achievement Form is available now at: http://go.osu.edu/20olderyouth – Older youth applications and forms are due to the Extension Office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8th, 2021.

Do you want to be an Outstanding 4-Her in 2021? Here’s what you need to do:

In order to be considered an Outstanding 4-Her, applicants must meet ALL THREE of the following. If these are met, forms will be considered for this achievement.

  • 1) Attained the level of High School Senior (or above) as of January 1st of the current year,
  • 2) Completed the 2021 Ohio 4-H Achievement Form in January of the current year, and
  • 3) Be a current 4-H member in good standing (enrolled in 4-H, completing projects, attending meetings, etc.)

The timeline of the Outstanding 4-Her Application process:

  • January 8th, 2021: Turn in the Ohio 4-H Achievement Form to the OSU Extension Office.
  • Mid to late summer: Individuals who meet the first three requirements (above) will be sent a letter with details on how to complete the application process.
  • August 21st, 2021: Deadline to submit the Outstanding 4-Her Application Form AND Addendum (update) to their Ohio 4-H Achievement Form.
    •  The Addendum is a separate document/piece of paper where applicants will include any 4-H and non-4-H updates from the current 4-H year that took place after their Ohio 4-H Achievement Form was submitted back in January.
    •  Additionally, the Addendum can include past 4-H and non-4-H activities, programs, events, and participation that may not have been included on their Ohio 4-H Achievement Form.
    • The Addendum (submitted in August) and the Ohio 4-H Achievement Form (submitted in January) will be used to review criteria selected on your Outstanding 4-Her Application Form. You may include as many pages as necessary.

October 10th, 2021: Individuals who meet the Outstanding 4-Her criteria will be recognized at the Junior Fair Panorama the Sunday of the Fairfield County Fair.

Fairfield County 4-H Scholarship Application – due 1/8/2021

2021 Fairfield County 4-H Scholarship Application is for High School Seniors and those in College. This scholarship is for Fairfield County 4-H Members (you must also be a member in good standing and complete at least one 4-H project year in the year in which you apply for this scholarship). Sea Camp, Camp Canopy, Leadership Camp, Shooting Sports Education Camp, Citizenship Washington Focus, Leadership Washington Focus – How do I get there?

These trip opportunities are available to our Fairfield County 4-H youth who complete the Ohio 4-H Achievement Form each year. The 4-H Advisor Committee, OSU Fairfield County 4-H Endowment Fund, and numerous local sponsors help support scholarships for our youth to attend.

Trip awards are selected from those who submit the Ohio 4-H Achievement Form each year. The 2021 Ohio 4-H Achievement Form will be due to the Extension Office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8th,2021. For more information, visit: http://go.osu.edu/20olderyouth

Be recognized for all you do in 4-H! Members ages 8-13 should complete the Junior Achievement Form!

The Fairfield County Jr. Achievement Form Word  or  pdf  is for 4-H members ages 8-13 as of January 1, 2021 to complete. This form provides a start towards completing the Ohio 4-H Achievement Record Form.  There are three levels of awards:  White Clover for members in the first and second year, Green Clover for members in their third and fourth years, and Gold Clover for members in the fifth and sixth year of Traditional 4-H.

Apply now for the 2021 Fashion and Nutrition Board!

The 2021 Fashion and Nutrition Board Application (online application) is now available for youth 13+ with at least 3 years of experience in clothing and/or food & nutrition related projects. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8th, 2021.

Current or previous Fashion/Nutrition Board members do not need to re-apply. Please send Shannon Carter an email that you would like to be on the 2020-2021 board.

 

Apply now to be a 2021 Camp Counselor!

2021 Camp Counselor Application is now posted as an online application for youth interested in serving as a new or returning Camp Counselor (must be 14 & older to be a counselor by June 1st).

As you complete the online application, you will be asked to upload the following completed forms:

1. Standards of Behavior form

2. Ohio 4-H Camp Cell Phone Policy and Tar Hollow Electronics Policy/Camp Counselor Code of Conduct form

3. Counselor Permission to Participate – 2021 Fairfield County 4-H Camps form

4. Ohio 4-H Health Statement with picture

Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8th.

The 2021 Junior Fair Board Application is now available. Membership is open to youth between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. New members must be 14 years old by October 1st of the current year to serve (as of 10/1/2021). Click here for a copy of the current Junior Fair Board Constitution.
Interested members (new and returning) should use the link below to apply by Friday, January 8th. Applicants will need to ask and have contact information ready (including email) for two references when they submit their application. We will be scheduling interviews/selection day at some point for new applicants, but will share that information with applicants once it is confirmed. This process may look different than past years due to COVID-19 restrictions. The first meeting for the newly selected JFB members will be held in March.
