Pre-Health Virtual Personal Statement Workshop

Students applying to a health‑care professional program in summer 2026 may be interested in joining the Spring 2026 Virtual Pre-Health Personal Statement Workshop.

This is a small group workshop consisting of three synchronous online sessions that will help get you started on this important and often difficult component of your application – the personal statement. Many students procrastinate beginning the personal statement, and if you’ve ever tried writing one, you know that it will take many drafts and revisions to get your statement to where you want it to be.

The workshop will begin by looking at examples and discussing how to get started. Next, you will compose, workshop, and revise drafts of your own personal statement.

Eligibility: Current Ohio State students and recent graduates applying to medical, dental, veterinary, optometry, or similar programs in summer 2026. Not open to freshmen or sophomores.

You must commit to attending ALL THREE sessions to participate. No exceptions will be made. Each session will last an hour and a half on these dates:

  • Wednesday, February 4 from 3:00pm–4:30pm
  • Wednesday, February 18 from 3:00pm–4:30pm
  • Wednesday, March 4 from 3:00pm–4:30pm

Registration is required and will close on Sunday, February 1 on 11:59pm.
