Attention College Students: Work at the Ohio State Fair!

Ohio 4-H Youth Development, is looking for 4-H Educational Assistants to work at the Ohio State Fair from July 15 through August 7, 2016.

4-H Educational Assistants will:

  1. Provide assistance in cleaning and painting of the 4-H area in the Youth Discovery Center prior to the fair’s opening.
  2. Provide assistance to 4-H Assistant Superintendents in helping with set-up and conducting their respective 4-H educational activities/events.
  3. Assist with daily event/activity registration.
  4. Provide information on the Ohio 4-H Youth Development Program to fair visitors.
  5. Assist with awards ceremonies as needed.

Work schedules are flexible and the position requires a commitment of  35 hours/week. Interested students currently enrolled in college should send a resume to Allen Auck, auck.1@osu.edu.  Requires successful completion of a background checks.

Attention Equine Exhibitors – Unique Opportunity!

Volunteer Connections is assisting with the distribution of a large donation of equine specific WOMEN’S shirts. These shirts are available in size XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, XLarge, 2X and 3X (as long as supply lasts). The colors WILL VARY (and are not by choice). These shirts are available to your members, based on need, and there is no limit to the number of shirts a club can request. However, these shirts ARE NOT TO BE SOLD!!

These shirts are being offered FREE to your members. Advisors may send their order request to brendadoner@gmail.com, fax to 614-659-0813 or text to 614-906-0812.

Brenda will work with the advisors to arrange for pick up from the warehouse in Clintonville, or a location that works for the advisor. They want to get these shirts out to members as soon as possible.

Lionhead Rabbit FOR SALE

I local family has a lionhead bunny they are trying to find a good home for. Attached are pictures of Raulson. He is approx. 9 months old and in need of handling. He has not bit anyone but is a little fearful. He is beautiful, but does not have his mane yet. The breeder we bought him from told us that he would get his mane this year. Show Stock U – Coming to Adams County 4/2/2016

Caleb Grooms with Cherry Fork Farm Supply in Adams County would like to invite you to Show Stock U. Show Stock U will be conducted by Sullivan Supply. Participants are to bring a calf with them and take part in demonstrations on daily calf care, showmanship, fitting, clipping and a mock show. The event is FREE to participate, lunch will be provided and awards will be handed out, all complements of Sullivan Supply and Cherry Fork Farm Supply. It will be held at the Adams County Fairgrounds on April 2, 2016.
