As one ventures away from one’s home, one may meet persons whose physical, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds differ from one’s own backgrounds. Cultural intelligence, a strategy to better understand others’ backgrounds, is one way to help one get to know, and perhaps develop friendships with those persons from diverse backgrounds.
