The 2016 Ohio 4-H Achievement Awards were presented recently at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus and Laura Swinehart was recognized with the Woodworking Achievement Award which was sponsored by The Honorable Fred Pepple.
Laura Swinehart, 18, has been a 4-H member for 13 years and is actively involved in woodworking and market goat projects. Laura is the daughter of Greg and April Swinehart from Lancaster and recently graduated from Fairfield Union High School. She plans to attend Wilmington College this fall.
4-H Achievement Award winners will attend the National 4-H Congress with youth from all over the country in November in Atlanta, Georgia.
The evening was hosted by the Ohio 4-H Foundation.
Ohio 4-H is the youth development program of Ohio State University Extension, with more than 285,000 young Ohioans participating in 4-H clubs, groups and special interest programs.
