The University of Akron’s 2020 Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering is now accepting applications! This program consists of an 11-week internship where students will investigate a fundamental question within the disciplines of polymer science and engineering. Students will gain research and career development experience during this program. At the end of the summer, students will present their research results at the Northeast Ohio NSF-REU Undergraduate Research Conference. There is a $7,500 stipend for this program, of which $5,500 is paid directly to the student and $2,000 of which is allocated directly to housing and related living expenses. The program will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 and will end on Friday, August 7, 2020.
