AstraZeneca Summer 2025 Internships

AstraZeneca is hiring for two summer 2025 internships that may be of interest to CBC students. Both roles are full-time, 12-week contracts (May 19–August 8, 2025) in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Analytical Science Summer Internship

This role has two separate headcount for the descriptions listed below:

  • Develop platform free drug and DAR methods
  • Mis-pair method for muti-specfic antibodies

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Current sophomores and juniors (expected graduation date after August 2025) majoring in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

Biologics Engineering Summer Internship

Openings for 10 different projects including:

  • Cell Therapeutics and Engineering
  • Assay, Profiling and Pharmacology
  • Core TA – nnAA technologies
  • Protein Analytics and Developability
  • Protein Engineering & Novel Modalities
  • Protein Sciences – Critical Reagents

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Undergraduate junior, masters, or PhD level students majoring in BioEngineering, Biology, BioChemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

2023 NIIMBL eXperience

The National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL) is working to enable more efficient and flexible manufacturing capabilities for existing and emerging biopharmaceutical products, and develop a world-leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing workforce.

The NIIMBL eXperience is an exclusive in-person, all expenses paid immersion program that offers you real-world insight into biopharmaceutical industry careers through hands-on activities and direct interactions with industry professionals. The program also aims to catalyze professional growth among participating students, through personal brand development, networking, and mentoring experiences.

The program targets African American/Black, Latinx, and Native American students completing their freshman or sophomore year of college. It is open to students enrolled in any STEM-based major living in the United States.

In 2023, three unique NIIMBL eXperience programs will be offered:

Each program will last ~a week during the summer of 2023. The deadline to apply for each program is January 20, 2023.
