Eastern Ohio 4-H Shooting Sports Camp
June 28-30 – Ages 9-13
This camp will be held at Zion Retreat & RV Park, Flushing, OH. All shooting classes are taught by certified Ohio 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors.
Registration & Camp Fee are due by: June 3, 2024 or until spaces are filled (Max 45 campers)
Camp Fee: $150.00
Camp fee after June 3rd is $160.00 (may not receive t-shirt)
No registration accepted after June 17

Market Turkey Pickup – May 8
The market turkeys are scheduled to ship from the hatchery next week. We are expecting them to arrive on Wednesday, May 8 in the afternoon. If the turkeys arrive as scheduled we will hold pick up at Heritage Cooperative at 219 S. Third Street in Marietta from 3 to 5 pm. You might want to call the Extension Office to make sure they have arrived before traveling.
Be prepared for them to arrive early or arrive another day. Unfortunately we have no control over when they might arrive.

Final Livestock Quality Assurance Training – May 13
Please remember that QUALITY ASSURANCE is mandatory for all youth (taking market livestock and lactating dairy cattle/goat projects) and one parent/guardian must attend in order to be eligible to participate in junior fair events, shows and sales at the fairs.
This is the final session remaining for 2024.
Youth Opportunity at Marietta College
Incoming 9th through 12th grade high school students will learn how to design programs and solve problems using a c
omputational thinking approach.
Date of Camp: June 17-21, 2024 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily)
Cost: $100.00 per camper
Older Youth Beef Production Field Day
For youth 14 and older, this will be a unique opportunity to learn about the beef industry. We will have a hands-on day walking youth through the beef production cycle focusing on cow-calf management.
Parents are welcome, as we have a tour scheduled in the morning of the ATI and CFAES Wooster campus with admissions staff.

Attention Club News Reporters
Part of the 4-H club news reporter’s responsibilities is to share news about your 4-H club meetings and events. After a club meeting write a short article about the big items of Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Once the article is complete you can ask your advisor to post it on your club Facebook page or share it with families. You can also ask a parent to help you upload it to the the Marietta Times for printing.
Here are the easy instructions for uploading a 4-H club article. You can also add pictures of special events! Make sure you identify the people in the picture by providing their names.
