Horse Committee Announces Wendy’s Fundraiser Night

The Washington County 4-H Saddle Horse Committee will be hosting a Wendy’s Get Together Fundraiser Night on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  The committee will be present from 3:30PM to 7:30PM to help serve the Wendy’s guest.  The committee will receive 10% of all sales that night as well as any donations or tips offered during the event.  Youth will enjoy free coloring pages and 4-H prizes throughout the event.  This event will be held at the 105 Pike Street location in Marietta.  Please join us on October 1st and let Wendy’s do the cooking!  All proceeds will benefit the Washington County 4-H Horse program and it’s members.

Smitty’s Night Announced

The Washington County 4-H Saddle Horse Committee is partnering with Smitty’s Pizza on Tuesday, May 14 2024.  The Saddle Horse committee will receive a portion of the orders placed that evening from 4pm to close.  All funds raised will go to support the 4-H horse program in Washington County and all funds stay local.  Let Smitty’s cook you dinner on Tuesday!

Interstate Exchange Club – Peanut Butter Egg Sale

Washington Co. Exchange 4-H Club is selling 1lb. peanut butter eggs for $8. Text your order to Ellie Tullius at 740-434-3064. You can also contact a member of the club.

Delivery will be the week of March 25.

The group will be traveling to Colorado this summer and appreciates your support.

Club Candy Bar Sale

Advisors will place club orders by MARCH 25

  • We will continue selling Anthony Thomas Chocolates for 2024.
  • 4-H Clubs must pre-order the number of CASES (each case contains 180 bars) you plan to sell.
  • There will be ONE choice for 2024 – Each case of 180 bars will contain six bags of 30 bars including 10 peanut butter, 10 caramel and 10 crunch.
  • No late orders will be accepted after order is placed with the candy company.
  • No returns allowed.
  • Orders can be picked up beginning April 24
  • All cases pre-ordered by your 4-H Club must be paid for by the May 30 deadline.
  • Advisors must email Sally Shaw with orders 524@osu.edu or phone (740-376-7431) in their order by March 25.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 30 and stop in and order off the “Together We Care Menu”. If you prefer not to dine in then call for your curbside to go order and help raise funds to support the Washington County 4-H program. The 4-H Advisory Committee will receive a portion of the menu item profit for all items purchased off the “Together We Care” menu on Tuesday January 30.

This event will run from 4 – 8 pm and the Washington County 4-H Advisory Committee Members and 4-H members will be present to greet guests.

Interstate Exchange Club – Buckeye Orders

The Washington County Interstate Exchange Club is looking forward to traveling next summer and are raising funds to help with expenses. The club is hosting their annual fundraisers. They are taking orders for Candy Buckeyes. The cost is $8 a dozen and orders for these must be placed by December 10th. Interstate Exchange members and their families will be working diligently to prepare the orders. Horse Committee to host Wendy’s Fundraiser Night – Oct 12

The Washington County Saddle Horse Committee is hosting a fundraiser night at Wendy’s located at 105 Pike Street Marietta.  Everyone is invited to Get Together and invite your friends and family to join us on October 12, 2023 from 4pm- 8pm.  The saddle horse committee will earn 10% of the total restaurant sales during this time.  Let us serve you- committee members and youth will be on hand to help you in the dining room, and the Wendy’s Prize wheel will be on site with some cool prizes for participants.  Coloring pages for youth and learn about 4-H and the horse program at our Get Together event.

$10 entry per rider/equine

All money goes to Camp Hervida

3 judges

½ hour to complete course – If you choose to do 1 obstacle that is all you will be judged on and the rest marked zero

Each obstacle will have a 5 point scale and be judged by 3 judges

0 is no effort or complete refusal of the obstacle

5 is the obstacle completed with style

Adults are 18 and up

Youth 17 and under

Belt buckles for 1st place both divisions

Participation prize for youth

There will be tie breaker obstacles if needed

No aggressive behavior towards your animal

Youth will not do the tie challenge in their first ride
