OSU Spring Career Fair

The Spring Career Fair is focused on helping you find an internship, a first job, or your next job. The event is open to ALL current Ohio State students and recent alumni. It will be held virtually Wednesday, January 27th on Handshake’s Career Fair platform from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Mark your calendar now!

Attending employers recruit across a broad range of disciplines. Attending employers include private sector companies, federal and state government agencies, and nonprofit. They are recruiting across a broad range of disciplines and seek to fill full-time, entry level positions, as well as summer internships.

Advanced research on Handshake is recommended. Students are able to register for both group sessions and 1:1 sessions with employers before the event so you are encouraged to check Handshake frequently for added employers.

Students MUST register before the event via Handshake. Students also need to have their profile set to “Community” to be able to access both the group employer sessions and the 1:1 sessions with employers.

ORISE and ORAU Fellowship, Internship, and Career Opportunities

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) and Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) currently have over 700 fellowship, internship, and career opportunities available for STEM students. ORISE develops solutions to strengthen the nation’s competitive advantage in science. ORAU is a network of more than 120 universities that seeks to connect people and resources to help solve the nation’s most challenging issues.

Illumina Internship Opportunities

Illumina is currently hiring students from the undergraduate to the postdoc level for a variety of internship positions. Illumina offers a paid summer internship program that gives students the opportunity to:

  • gain real-world work experience
  • work on relevant projects
  • work alongside engineers, scientists, and corporate employees
  • engage in professional development, team building, and engagement opportunities

Marine Physical Laboratory Summer Internship Program

Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California is looking for applicants for their Marine Physical Laboratory Summer Internship Program in Summer 2020. This program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to do research with some of the most notable scientists in the world.

To apply, you must be a US citizen or permanent resident and be enrolled as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year undergraduate student. Your application will include a resume, a statement of interest, academic records, and two letters of recommendation from current or recent professors. The internship pays $14 an hour. You must be able to start work in June and work for 10 consecutive weeks following the start date.

Lubrizol Summer Internship Opportunities

Lubrizol, a specialty chemical corporation focused on sustainability is offering three summer internship opportunities for undergraduate chemistry students. The internships available focus on synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and thermal analysis. All of their internships are paid positions and are located at the global Lubrizol headquarters in Wickliffe, OH. Second-year chemistry majors are encouraged to apply! Nestle Chemistry Internship

Image result for nestleThe Nestlé Quality Assurance Center in Dublin, OH is seeking a Chemistry Intern for a three month, paid summer internship in the Chemistry Laboratory. The intern will be responsible for conducting testing for juice authenticity and nutritional labeling. These responsibilities include sample preparations, extractions, clean ups, proper work documentation, general laboratory support, and other duties as assigned.

Nestlé Quality Assurance Center (NQAC) is responsible for ensuring that all Nestlé products are safe and that the highest product safety is delivered to Nestlé’s customers.
