Paper Clover Campaign at Tractor Supply

The Marietta TSC will be participating in the national Paper Clover Campaign and the store is hosting our 4-H display at the front of their store. Stop by and support the campaign!

  • Paper Clover Runs Wednesday, October 6 through October 17.
  • Customers will be invited to add an additional donation at check-out or round-up.
  • As usual, counties will receive 80% of the funds. The funds will be used for camp and youth leadership experiences.

Ohio 4-H Celebration of Youth – Bidding is Now Open!

Since 1998, 4-H Celebration of Youth has been the annual statewide fundraiser supporting Ohio 4-H youth development in each of Ohio’s counties.

Did you know that you can participate in the Ohio 4-H Celebration of Youth auction, even if you’re not going to the event? The auction is now open and can be found at 4HCOY.givesmart.com. Items include everything from homemade jewelry to beach vacations.

Applebees “Together We Care Night” to Benefit 4-H Horse Program

The Washington County Saddle Horse Committee is excited to announce their partnership with Applebees to host a fundraising event.  Mark your calendars for June 29, 2021 and stop in and order off the “Together We Care Menu”.  If you prefer not to dine in then call for your curbside to go order and help raise funds to support the 4-H horse program in Washington County.  The 4-H horse program will receive 50% of the menu item profit for all items purchased off the “Together We Care” menu on Tuesday June 29th.  We are encouraging all of our 4-H members, volunteers, business supporters and others to order lunch or dinner to help us with needed supplies and awards for the horse program.  This event will run all day and the Washington County Saddle Horse Committee Members and 4-H members will be present to greet guests from 4-8pm.  Please review the attached menu to see qualifying items.

Bulls-Eye Hosting Applebees Fundraiser

4-H Shooting Sports Fundraiser:  Join us on April 27 for Marietta Applebee’s Together We Care Tuesday. Bull’s-Eye 4-H Club will receive 50% of what is spent on a menu of five Applebee’s favorites. No flyer or receipt needs to be turned in. Just ask for the “special menu” to order from and the cash register will  keep track of the proceeds. Thank you for your support to help purchase supplies, equipment, and recognition items for the 4-H shooting sports program!

Kevin F. Arnold Memorial Endowment to Benefit Local Extension Work

On Feb. 10 at 10 a.m., the Monroe County Community Foundation and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) will announce an exciting new platform to connect donors with nonprofit projects making a difference for causes and communities! In Washington County, you will note that the The Kevin F. Arnold Memorial Endowment Fund is an option for donors who support the work of OSU Extension in Washington County to connect with Matching Funds!

Your gifts to these causes will be matched The Endowed fund match is $.50 on the $1 (up to $5,000 per donor)! We invite you to make a gift, by going directly to Cause Connector at www.causeconnector.org/Monroe and choose your Monroe cause. The “matching program” will begin Feb. 10 @ 10 a.m.

Hervida – Annual Building Fund Drawing

This will be Hervida’s only fundraising event this year. Due to Covid the camp board will not be having the dinner or silent this year. The drawing will be held virtually on November 14. Tickets can be purchased from a Hervida Board Member or at the Extension Office.

Tickets are $35 donation.

CATFISH TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

June 27, 2020 Barlow Fairgrounds

Fishing is the ultimate social distancing event!!

Sign in will start at 5 pm-6:45 pm at the 550 parking lot where the covered bridge is.

Stringer location, RIGHT, CENTER, or LEFT of mouth of fish will be drawn following sign in and then fishermen will be released.

You must be in line to weigh-in by 2 am in the 550 parking lot by the covered bridge.

Individual entries only. No team entries allowed

Open to all ages.

All participants ages 16 and up MUST POSSESS a current Ohio fishing license at sign in.

All minors must be accompanied by a licensed adult.

Only live fish can be weighed. Dead fish will be disqualified.

May fish any legal waterway.

Can fish from boat or bank.

Rod and reel only. No seines, trout lines, or cast nets.

Participants will weigh-in 1 fish each per division entered.

Winner will be determined by weight. In the case of a tie, the longest fish will win.

All fish that are weighed in will be released by officials after the tournament.

2.All Other Species of Catfish

$10 entry per angler per division. Anglers may enter one or both divisions.

1st place per division – 25% payout and Plaque.

2nd place per division – Plaque

Smitty’s Night

The Washington County Saddle Horse Committee is hosting a Smitty’s Pizza night.  All are encouraged to have a pizza night on Thursday June 18, 2020 and place an order with Smitty’s Pizza to help the horse committee raise some dough.  All funds raised will go toward sponsoring awards at the Washington County Fair, along with judges fees, and other horse events.
