2018 Fair Booth Reservations

The summer is coming to a close and fair season is just around the corner.  The Waterford Fair, Washington County Fair and Barlow Independent Fair are a great place to exhibit your club and your members 4-H projects.  Advisors are encouraged to exhibit at one of the fairs in the county and may exhibit at more than one for promotion of their members and club activities.  Waterford Fair booth reservation forms were due July 20.  The Washington County Fair booth forms are due August 3rd, and Barlow Fair booth reservation forms are due August 24th.  There are still spaces available for each of the fairs.  You may drop off or email the booth reservation forms to hartline.24@osu.edu . Best of Luck to all the clubs exhibiting at the fairs.  4-H 2018 Theme is “We are 4-H Then, Now, & Forever”

Fair Entry Emails

The Washington County Livestock Committee has purchased a program that will be used at the Washington County Fair, Waterford Fair and Barlow Fair to help us with our shows and sales this year.  This program is an online entry system for our livestock shows and showmanship classes.  We have been diligently entering all the livestock animals into the program.  Once the entries are complete it sends an email to the family letting them know their entry was successfully processed.  Exhibitors do not need to do anything with the email.  And if you did not receive an email you are fine as well.  All entries are being made ahead of the fair to help make the shows and sales at the fair run efficiently.  If you receive an email and have a concern you may call to inquire about the entry at the extension office.  740-376-7431.

Rabbit Tattooing

Rabbit tattooing for the market rabbit project will be held at the Washington County Fair grounds on Saturday August 4, 2018 from 8 am to 10am.  All market rabbits need to be brought to tattooing to be eligible for exhibition at the Washington County Fair.
