The 8th Annual River Trails and Ales Festival will be held the weekend of August 9-12 in Marietta. The festival is looking for volunteers for the weekend. 4-H Project Judging Schedule for July 17
4-H Project Judging will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 8:30-11:30am at the Washington County Career Center. Don’t hesitate to call the Extension Office if you have any questions regarding your project. 4-H Public Speaking Contest – July 17
County 4-H Public Speaking Contest – July 17 at 1:30 No pre-registration required. Sign-up the day of the event at the Washington County Career Center. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The following events are offered to 4-H members (not Cloverbuds):
4-H Demonstration & Illustrated Talk without Technology Contest (Junior and Intermediate Divisions)
- Presentations, whether given by an individual or a team, should last between 6 and 9 minutes
4-H Demonstration & Illustrated Talk with Technology Contest (Intermediate and Senior Divisions)
- Presentations should last between 9 and 12 minutes
4-H Shooting Sports Topic (Must be enrolled in 700 series projects)
- Shooting Sports Topics Presentations – Juniors (8-13) without technology & or props 3-5 min.
- Shooting Sports Topics Presentations – Seniors (14-18) without technology & or props 5-8 min.
4-H Pledge Contest
- Participants must be ages 8-11 as of January 1st of this year
4-H Creed Contest
- Participants must be ages 12-18 as of January 1st of this year.
4-H Marketing Contest – thank you card, holiday card, 4-H Infomercial Promoting 4-H (items due to Extension Office July 9)
- Thank you Card with / without the use of computer graphics or scrapbooking– Junior (8-10) – due to Extension Office by July 9

Noble County Open Jackpot Meat Goat and Lamb Show
Noble County Junior Fairboard is sponsoring an open jackpot meat goat and lamb show on Saturday July 14, 2018. Goat showmanship starts at 10am at the Noble County Fairgrounds. Lamb Showmanship will begin at 2pm. Please see visit the attached link for more information or contact Nancy Snook.
