Indianapolis Teaching Fellows

Historically, high-need students in Indianapolis have not had equal access to an education that adequately prepares them for college and career. Indianapolis Teaching Fellows trains recent college graduates to become exceptional certified teachers in high-need subject areas. The fast-paced summer training program focuses on the essential skills that teachers need most to start strong. Fellows will repeatedly practice foundational classroom management and instructional techniques, receive direct feedback from skilled coaches, and pass a series of evaluations to be eligible to start teaching in the fall. Dow AgroSciences R&D Summer Intern Program

Dow AgroSciences is accepting applications for their summer Research & Development Internships. R&D internships are available in chemistry, biology, and computer science related disciplines, including, but not limited to, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, plant breeding, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, surface chemistry, engineering (chemical, biological, material, or optical) and informatics (bio and chem).

Dow’s laboratory-based Research and Development internships are located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are a paid internships; salaries are determined by the student’s year in school.

Eligible students will be pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree from a U.S. based college or university with proper U.S. work authorization, or the ability to obtain work authorization through their university.

Applications are due November 1, 2018 for the 2019 program.

Indianapolis Teaching Fellows provides an accelerated path into teaching for accomplished professionals and recent graduates, while helping these students get the education they need.

During a six-week summer training program, fellows will repeatedly practice foundational classroom management and instructional techniques, and receive direct feedback from skilled coaches. Fellows must pass a series of evaluations in order to be eligible to start teaching in the fall. It is specifically designed for people without prior experience as a licensed teacher.

Needed qualities include accomplished professionals and recent graduates who are not yet licensed as educators, but who
possess the skills to teach high-need subjects.
