Nebraska Summer Research

Application Deadline: March 1, 2020

The University of Nebraska is now accepting applications for its 2020 Summer Research Program!

This intensive summer research program provides mentoring and research experiences while previewing graduate school life. Scholars receive a living stipend, stay in suite-style housing, have an on-campus meal plan, and have travel costs covered. Other perks include special workshops for preparing for graduate school, social events, intramural teams, and outdoor activities around Lincoln.

Scholars can apply for any of the 14 research areas: Applied Plant Systems, Beneficial Insects, Bioenergy Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Minority Health Disparities, Molecular Plant-Microbe Interaction, Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure, Plant and Microbiome, Redox Biology, Sustainability of Civil Infrastructure, Unmanned Systems, or Virology.

Students with a strong interest in graduate school or traditionally underrepresented in graduate education are particularly encouraged to apply for the program.

More information about the program can be found on their website. The online application can be found here. The priority deadline for applications is February 1, 2020, and the final deadline for all applications and materials is March 1, 2020.
