The Technical Support Center of the Office of Water, Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Cincinnati, Ohio is offering a paid internship for two applicants.
The internship centers around looking at emerging contaminants in drinking water. The participants will research the quality control data trends of newly developed analytical methods. This information collected allows the EPA to evaluate the methods with nationwide drinking water from several different laboratories.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field. The starting date will occur between June 1 and December 31, and the appointment is for one year with the possibility to be renewed. The annual stipend will range from $34,000-$45,000 depending on education level, and reimbursement may be possible for travel expenses to present research at conferences.
