The AIChE Computational Molecular Science & Engineering Forum have created a distributed REU program for students interested in getting research experience. The summer 2021 REU will be virtual, with flexible start dates to accommodate student schedules.
The program operates using the National Science Foundation (NSF) model for REU experiences. Our program is 10 weeks long and includes orientation, skill-building and tutorials, facilitated mentoring and career planning. Students accepted into the program receive a financial offer from their host institution for the REU period. Starting dates are flexible and can be chosen to accommodate your academic program.
The program welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and especially those who might be interested in computational research, but have not yet had opportunities. Interested students can learn more about the program, and apply, by visiting https://www.comsefscholars.org. In addition, questions can be directed to comsefscholars@gmail.com.
Applications are due March 15, 2021.
