2024 4-H Achievement Night

We are excited to recognize our members and advisors at the annual Licking County 4-H Achievement Night on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 6:30pm at C-TEC. We are thrilled to recognize individuals who fall into the list below. While we look forward to recognizing these youth and volunteers, please know that everyone is welcome to attend this event, even if you are not getting recognized. Junior fair exhibitors! Please remember that there are livestock skillathon contests throughout the week at the fair. All junior fair exhibitors are encouraged to participate. You do not need to show a specific species to participate in that species skillathon; they are open to all! The skillathon competitions are a great way to show your knowledge! Skillathon Facilitators Needed for the Ohio State Fair

Might you be willing to help?
They are still in need of Ohio State Fair Skillathon Facilitators! This is a great role for 4-H and FFA Advisors, species association members, etc. A great learning experience – for both you and the members with whom you will work!
You will work with youth to facilitate a skillathon station. Entry passes, snacks and meal tickets will be provided for anyone who volunteers.

2023 Ohio State Fair Virtual Skillathons

Virtual livestock skillathons will be available for youth to complete between May 30th and October 20th. These virtual skillathons will not be scored. They are intended as a way for youth to practice for the Ohio State Fair other skillathon contests. No pre-registration is required. Livestock Project Skillathons at the Hartford Fair

All members are encouraged to participate in the Livestock Project Skillathons at the Hartford Fair. Members do NOT have to be entered in a species to participate in the skillathon for that species; all are welcome! Be sure to check the schedule HERE to ensure you know when and where each skillathon will take place as there have been some changes from previous years.

 

Ohio State Fair Virtual Skillathon Registration

Registration is now open for the Ohio State Fair Virtual Skillathon Contests. These contests are a great way to participate in the Ohio State Fair skillathon program without having to attend the fair in person. Registration to participate is due by June 21st and can be completed be visiting go.osu.edu/skillathonregistration. Members are NOT required to be enrolled in a species project to participate so all 4-H and FFA youth are encouraged to participate!

Please note: outstanding breeding exhibitors (goat, sheep, swine, and beef) must complete the virtual skillathon to be eligible for OBE.
