The Ohio State Fair Scholarship Application is due by Sunday, May 15, 2022.
The applicant must be a high school junior or senior or a graduate continuing their education at an accredited institution in an under graduate course of study. They must reside in the State of Ohio and must have been both eligible to be a participant in the Junior Fair (not older than 19 years of age as of January 1, 2022) and must have served as an active participant in both the Ohio State Fair Junior Division and their local county fair.
All questions on the application form must be answered to be considered for an award. High school and/or college transcript must be attached, along with copies of ACT and/or SAT scores. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
Applications will be judged on the following basis:
- 25% Scholastic Standing
- 20% Citizenship and Leadership
- 25% Ohio State Fair Participation
- 20% County Fair Participation
- 10% Essay
Applicants may be required to be interviewed at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
Previous winners are eligible to compete, as long as they meet the above requirements.
Scholarship winners will be notified by July 27. All scholarships will be awarded during the Sale of Champions at the Ohio State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 7.
The Hall of Fame Scholarship will be awarded during the Ohio State Fair Hall of Fame Luncheon on Thursday, August 4.

All Ohio high school students, who are juniors or seniors during the 2020-2021 school year, and who meet the qualifications noted on the scholarship application, are invited to apply for a $1,000 Believe in Ohio STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Scholarship.
The purpose of this scholarship program is to recognize students throughout Ohio for their 4-H Project contributions to STEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship (livestock project work would also count towards this). To ensure that students from all parts of Ohio receive recognition, we would like to award at least one $1,000 scholarship in each of Ohio’s ninety-nine State House of Representative districts, and thirty-three Ohio State Senate districts.
Complete the following application by April 18, 2022 to be eligible.
You will need a transcript and a 750 Word essay answering the following:
a. Why do you think you deserve this scholarship, and how will it help you prepare for your future?
b. Discuss, in detail, the significant, rigorous 4-H STEM or entrepreneurship competition, research project, or published manuscript that you completed. How did this experience demonstrate your potential to excel as a future innovator?
The Believe in Ohio STEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship application is now available. High school juniors and seniors who have “distinguished themselves in a significant, rigorous STEM or entrepreneurship competition, research project, or published manuscript that demonstrates the applicants potential to become a future innovator” are encouraged to apply. The Licking County Pest Management Committee is providing a scholarship opportunity. Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following guidelines:
- Sophomore or above in trade school or college (including Graduate Level) and enrolled for the next term.
- GPA Level: 3.0 or above
- Passionate intent to have a career path related to agriculture
- Past or present involvement with 4-H and/or FFA (or equivalent)
- Resident of Licking County
- Recipients are eligible to re-apply in following years

The Licking County Farm Bureau board of trustees has designated funds to assist with the next generation of youth pursuing careers that support the agricultural industry. Applicants must reside locally to Licking County and be members of the Licking County Farm Bureau, or have parents who are members. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2022. The Licking County Farm Bureau will host their annual Farmers Share Breakfast on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 8:00-10:00 am at C-TEC in Newark. All proceeds from this breakfast will support the Licking County 4-H Camping Program. There are several ways that you can be involved and support this effort.
The 2022 Hartford Fair Scholarship application is now available. The application is due to the Hartford Fair Office by Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The application must be accompanied by three reference forms from non-family members. There are several scholarships available to 4-H members who are enrolling or are enrolled in post-secondary education opportunities. There are a variety of scholarships available depending on where you plan to attend and what degree you hope to pursue.
