REMINDER: 2025 Quality Assurance Trainings

Our next Hartford Fair Livestock Quality Assurance (QA) Training for 2025 will take place next week! Any junior fair exhibitor that plans to show livestock at either the Hartford Fair or Ohio State Fair MUST complete an approved QA training by June 1, 2025 in order to be eligible to show in 2025. Please review the Junior Fair Livestock Quality Assurance Guidelines for all requirements and a list of approved trainings. Please ensure you have a plan to either attend an in-person training or complete the online YQCA module BEFORE June 1, 2025.

Our next county-wide program will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 6:30pm at Licking Valley High School.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Photos for fair IDs will NOT be taken at QA programs in 2025. We will have a process similar to last year where members will be able to upload a photo themselves instead of having photos taken by fair staff. More details on that to come at a later date!
  • Only Licking County 4-H/FFA Quality Assurance Programs will address program changes and updated for the Hartford Fair. If you choose to attend another QA program or complete the YQCA online module, please ensure that you are watching for updates through the Licking County Extension and Hartford Fair websites and that you check in with your advisor(s) for updates and changes as well.
  • A special thank you to our county FFA chapters for hosting us for these trainings!

Here’s what you need to know… Registration goes live Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

Thanks to support from the Licking County Farm Bureau and those who sponsored or attend the Farmers Share Breakfast, all Licking County 4-H members will receive a $25 discount on their 4-H Camp registration. This will bring the cost for members to attend to $240. Children of current Licking County Farm Bureau members are also eligible to receive and additional $50 discount (PARENTS of child must be current members and must include member number during registration). We also extend our appreciation to the Licking County Cattlemen’s Association, as a drawing will be held during camp for eight families to be reimbursed for their child’s camp registration, and two additional reimbursements will be drawn from those who have parents that are members of the Licking County Cattleman’s Association!

You’ll complete three easy steps:

1) Registration and Payment

2) Session Selection

3) Health Form!

Do yourself a favor – be at your computer, rather than your phone, and have access to your email! Complete registration for each child in your family before you move on to selecting sessions! It’s most important that they get registered.

Be prepared in advance – check out the session offerings online before registration! You can find the session list here: go.osu.edu/2025SessionDescriptions

If you are in need of financial assistance to help your child(ren) attend camp, we do have camp scholarship available. You can find the application at: go.osu.edu/2025CampScholarshipForm
