Professor Fiskesjö’s observation that perhaps respected organizations in research publishing exhibit some of the same dynamics as their fake imitators is most intriguing, if unsettling. Reacting to this story (after mentioning that he is regularly invited to present at scientific conferences where he would be utterly unqualified), Wesley J. Smith quotes the latest Nobel Laureate for Literature: “Everything is broken.”
