Drug Use Notification Forms (DUNF) for Livestock Exhibitors

2024 Hartford Fair exhibitors are asked to make note of the following REQUIRED forms and their deadline. All Drug Use Notification Forms (DUNF) and United Producer’s Feeding Forms must be completed online by the deadline. Please review which form(s) are due for your species and the deadline for those forms HERE or by viewing the list below. NEW FOR 2024: BEEF FEEDER CALVES MUST COMPLETE A DUNF THIS YEAR! Livestock Move-in Traffic Patterns

If you will be moving in livestock to the Hartford Fair on Saturday, August 3rd, please review the traffic pattern HERE or below to ensure you know where to enter the fairgrounds and what path to follow to your barn. Please ensure you follow these directions to help everyone have smooth and easy move-in experience.

 

 

Help Needed at the Hartford Fair

The Aladdin Shrine Licking County Shrine Club is seeking help to staff the gates at the Hartford Fair. This is an excellent way to earn community service credits and receive free food tickets for the fair! The gates are staffed from 7:00am through 9:00pm and you can pick the hours you volunteer!

REMINDER: 2024 Stock the Trailer Challenge!

We’d like to challenge our 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters that will be participating in the Hartford Fair to help our Junior Fair Board in collecting non-perishable food items, along with money, to support the Food Pantry Network of Licking County! Every single dollar, or food item, will directly benefit people inside of our fair district! We are challenging each club/chapter to collect $100 or 50 lbs of food!

Start collecting NOW, and then drop off food items to the designated trailer (in front of Grubb Arena), or money can be dropped off to the Junior Fair Board Office during the fair.

Bonus: If the Hartford Junior Fair Board collects more than the other fairs in our region, our fair will receive $5,000! HELP US WIN! We’ve placed third the past two years – but with your help, we can do better!

REMINDER: Help Needed in the 4-H Center at the Hartford Fair

Help is needed in the 4-H Center at the Hartford Fair during fair week.

The 4-H Center is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm each day of the fair. Volunteer shifts are one hour and volunteers just need to keep an eye on the building and answer general questions from fair visitors. This is a great opportunity relax for an hour or two in the air conditioning while helping promote 4-H and support those clubs and members who are displaying their projects in the 4-H Center. 4-H members are encouraged to participate, but we do ask that an adult be present with the members while they work their shift.

2024 Shepherds Lead and Lamb Cook Off Contests

The entry forms for the 2024 Shepherds Lead Contest and the 2024 Lamb Cook Off are both now available.

The Shepherds Lead Contest will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 3:30pm in the East End of Grubb Arena. This is a fun contest for everyone ages 2 and up!

The Lamb Cook Off will be Monday, August 5, 2024 at 6:00pm in B. Carr Arena. Open to contestants ages 9 and up!

Livestock and Equine Skillathons at the Hartford Fair

Junior fair exhibitors! Please remember that there are livestock skillathon contests throughout the week at the fair. All junior fair exhibitors are encouraged to participate. You do not need to show a specific species to participate in that species skillathon; they are open to all! The skillathon competitions are a great way to show your knowledge! Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council Applications Due Soon

Please note: applications (and other materials, including letters of recommendation and program fees) are due by Friday, August 9, 2024.

2024 Ohio State Fair 4-H Project Judging Results

We have many Licking County 4-H members who will be competing with their projects at the Ohio State Fair. Results from these competitions can be found on two different websites depending on the project area. Livestock and Horse competition results will be posted on the Ohio State Fair Website. Non-Livestock competition results will be posted on the Ohio 4-H Website. Results are typically posted the day after the competition takes place. Best of luck to all of our Licking County 4-H members!
