2024 Cloverbud Day Camp Registration

Cloverbud Day Camp is a SWEET place to be! We’re excited to host a Candyland themed camp this year with fun activities and snacks! Cloverbud Day Camp will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 4-H Camp Ohio. Our timeline for drop off and pick up are still being finalized, but expect the day to run approximately from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Registration will be completed online just like last year. You will have the option to pay by credit card after completing the registration, or by mailing/dropping off a check or cash to the Extension Office. You will also be directed to complete the camp health history form online after you complete the registration portion. Please ensure that you have time to complete each step by the deadline of May 3, 2024. All three portions (registration | payment | health history) must be completed by the deadline in order for your child to attend Cloverbud Day Camp.

Cloverbud Day Camp is open to both enrolled and non-enrolled youth. We are happy to invite youth who will be age/grade eligible to be Cloverbuds next year (enrolling in Kindergarten this fall) up through their final year of Cloverbuds.

Things to note…

  • Registration for Cloverbud Day Camp will go live at 10:00am on Monday, April 8, 2024! You will be able to find the registration link on the Camp Opportunities Page under the Cloverbud Day Camp heading or by visiting http://go.osu.edu/4HCloverbudCamp.
  • Once you complete the registration, if you select to pay by credit card, you should be automatically directed to the NelNet payment portal. The information from the registration should automatically fill into the payment portal. PLEASE NOTE: If you billing address for your credit card is different than the address you entered for the registration, please be sure to update the address before submitting your payment.
  • If you select to pay by check/cash, that payment is due within one week after you have submitted the registration. If we do not receive your payment in that time frame, we reserve the right to cancel your registration to allow another member to register in the case that camp fills to capacity.
  • Once you’ve completed the registration, you should automatically receive an email within a few minutes of submission. If you do not, please check your junk/spam folder as often these emails can be flagged as spam by your email server. If you cannot find it there, please reach out to Adrienne at anderson.1410@osu.edu as it is likely you incorrectly input your email address.
  • The link to complete the Health History Form will be in the email you receive at the completion of the registration. Again, if you do not automatically receive your email and it is not in you junk/spam folder, please contact Adrienne.
  • Details about drop off, pick up, things to pack, etc. will be emailed out to the email used in the registration form about one week before camp.

We know that many of you are anxiously waiting for registration for 4-H Summer Camp. Please know that those details and registration info will be available soon.

Checking Project Enrollment and Making Project Changes

We encourage you to check your enrollment in 4-HOnline to make sure that your club(s) and project(s) are correct. To check your enrollment, first log into http://oh.4honline.com and click “View” next to the member’s name. Then, click “Enrollment” along the left-hand side of the page. There are several things that you will want to check on this page…

  • Check to ensure you are enrolled in the correct club(s).
  • Check to ensure your projects are correct.
  • If you are in more than one club… please check to ensure that each project is entered under the correct club.

If corrections need made, please reach out to Adrienne (anderson.1410@osu.edu) and include the member’s name and what needs corrected.

PLEASE NOTE: One of the sections under your enrollment lists training you have completed. Quality Assurance is listed under that heading but it does not list the date it was completed. LAST YEAR’S QUALITY ASSURANCE TRAINING WILL SHOW UP UNDER THAT LIST AS A COMPLETED TRAINING. Please do not assume that means you have completed QA for this year. We have not entered any member’s QA training for this year into the system yet so the training you will see reflects the 2024 training. If you are enrolled in a livestock project, please be sure you are either signed up for a Licking County QA training, have attended/plan to attend a training given at a local clinic or statewide event, or have/plan to complete the online YQCA training before June 1st. You can check this by clicking on the “Training” tab along the left side of the page, a 2024 QA training will have a 2023-2024 date.

Introduction to Food and Clothing Projects Workshop

The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board is hosting an Introduction to Food and Clothing Projects Workshop to help members who are new to 4-H or are new to taking food or clothing projects. This workshop will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024 between 10:00am and noon at the Licking County Extension Office. We plan to share tips for completing your projects and answer questions you may have to get you off to a good start with your projects. Members can sign up to attend either the food project session (10:00am), clothing project session (11:00am) or both. Participants are required to have an adult attend with them. If you would like to attend, please complete a short registration at: http://go.osu.edu/4HProjectWorkshop by April 24, 2024.

REMINDER: 2024 Livestock Quality Assurance Trainings

Hartford Fair Livestock Quality Assurance (QA) Trainings for 2024 are in full swing! Any junior fair exhibitor that plans to show livestock at either the Hartford Fair or Ohio State Fair MUST complete an approved QA training by June 1, 2024 in order to be eligible to show in 2024. We are excited to return to holding QA trainings IN PERSON this year. Please review the Junior Fair Livestock Quality Assurance Guidelines for all requirements and a list of approved trainings. Please ensure you have a plan to either attend an in-person training or complete the online YQCA module BEFORE June 1, 2024.

Our next program will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Johnstown Monroe High School.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Photos for fair IDs will NOT be taken at QA programs in 2024. We will have a process similar to last year where members will be able to upload a photo themselves instead of having photos taken by fair staff. More details on that to come at a later date!
  • There will NOT be a Horse Safety and Ethics training option during the QA trainings. ALL horse members will be required to complete the online EquiSTEP training module. More details can be found HERE.
  • Only Licking County 4-H/FFA Quality Assurance Programs will address program changes and updated for the Hartford Fair. If you choose to attend another QA program or complete the YQCA online module, please ensure that you are watching for updates through the Licking County Extension and Hartford Fair websites and that you check in with your advisor(s) for updates and changes as well.
