2024 Camp Counselor Applications are NOW AVAILABLE for Summer Camp and Cloverbud Day Camp! Applications and reference forms must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023! Interviews will be held for new candidates on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

  • Follow the link above to the application. You’ll complete your responses, read the Standards of Behavior and Camp Counselor Contract, and then both you and parent will electronically sign your application. The application can be completed easily on a computer or mobile device.

REMINDER: Market Steer and Heifer Weigh-In for 2024

2024 Hartford Fair Market Steer / Heifer exhibitors are asked to make note of the following details to ensure that their market animals are registered online (by noon on November 30) and weighed-in on December 2, 2023 in preparation for the 2024 Hartford Fair. Details regarding eligibility for the Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Market Steer / Heifer show can be found HERE. DNA samples are to be submitted to the OSF by no later than January 15. Change in 2024: OSF is no longer providing 840 EID tags – they must be provided by the exhibitor / breeder, with tag number note on DNA packet prior to submission.

Custom 4-H Lego Kits Available

Giving Tuesday

This year Ohio 4-H reached more than 156,000 youth through community clubs and special interest (SPIN) groups, after school programming, and camps. Through these experiences, youth build lifelong skills and develop the confidence, independence, resilience, and compassion to lead for a lifetime.   

You can help us continue to create the opportunities for youth in Licking County by supporting 4-H programming on Giving Tuesday. Be a part of this global celebration of giving on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and by giving at ohio4h.org/countydonation.

Save the Date: 4-H Sew Ohio

The Ohio 4-H Master Clothing Educator Volunteers will host a sewing workshop on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Ohio 4-H Center in Columbus. They will have sessions that will be geared towards beginner, intermediate, and advanced level sewing project members. This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills and get a great start on your 4-H sewing projects. More details will be sent out once they become available.

Ohio Military Kids Winder Wonderland

Military families may join the Ohio Military Kids program for a FREE Winter Wonderland as we offer crafts, snacks, family activities, and a special visit from Santa in the North Pole! It is Saturday, December 9th, 2023, 1:00pm to 4:00pm in Central Ohio (specific location will be shared once registered).

REMINDER: 4th H Club Challenge

We pledge our “health to better living” but do we actually practice it? The 4th H Club Challenge encourages Ohio 4-H Clubs to learn, practice, and advocate for healthy choices and behaviors at 4-H club meetings. Practicing healthy habits and choices now has lifelong effects on the health of youth.

Each club that completes the challenge before the deadline will enter into the $100 voucher drawing for their region to use for their club (project books, educational tools, etc.)! Each region will have a winner. The first 25 clubs that complete the registration and pre-survey will get an extra entry. How does it work? Apply 3 healthy practices per meeting at 6 or more 4-H clubs/meetings from April – December 2023.

Register and complete pre-survey.
Record the dates and activities in the 4th H tracker link. (the tracker link will be provided after registering)
Share a picture of your club doing a healthy practice on social media. Be sure to include the official hashtag #Ohio4thHClubChallenge.
Submit all activities to the tracker link by December 31st, 2023.
