4-H Center Help Needed at the Hartford Fair
Volunteers are needed in the 4-H Center during the Hartford Fair. The 4-H Center is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm each day of the fair. Volunteer shifts are one hour and volunteers just need to keep an eye on the building and answer general questions from fair visitors. This is a great opportunity relax for an hour or two in the air conditioning while helping promote 4-H and support those clubs and members who are displaying their projects in the 4-H Center. 4-H members are encouraged to participate, but we do ask that an adult be present with the members while they work their shift.
To sign up for a 4-H Center shift, please visit go.osu.edu/Hartford4HCenter. If you have questions, please reach out to Adrienne Anderson at anderson.1410@osu.edu.

REMINDER: Cloverbuds in the Kitchen
The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board is happy to bring back their Cloverbuds in the Kitchen program. Cloverbuds in the Kitchen is designed for Cloverbud aged youth to learn some kitchen basics. Youth are not required to be enrolled as a Cloverbud to participate, but should meet Cloverbud age requirements (age 5 and in Kindergarten as of 1/1/23 up through project age). Cloverbuds in the Kitchen will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:30-11:30am at the Licking County Extension Office. Participants will learn about kitchen safety, how to appropriately measure ingredients, make a snack, and play games and complete a craft. We ask that an adult plan to remain with the youth for the entire program.
Complete the registration at http://go.osu.edu/CloverbudsInTheKitchen by Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Registration will be limited to the first 10 participants to register. If registration fills, please email Adrienne at anderson.1410@osu.edu to be put on a wait list.
REMINDER: Photo ID Portal Open for Junior Fair Exhibitors
Hartford Fair JUNIOR Fair Exhibitors should submit a photo for their fair photo ID. Photo must be a front view of the entire face, ideally with a neutral background. No hats or sunglasses are allowed. When you upload the photo, you will need to include the exhibitors name (please use the name that they are enrolled in 4-HOnline (4-H members) or the name that was submitted to the fair office (FFA, Scouts, Steer Pool) and birth date in order for us to easily be able to match the photo with the correct exhibitor. Exhibitors are encouraged to complete this step so that they have a photo ID for the fair. Having a photo ID can help streamline the process of collecting your project premiums from the Intel Premium Bank.
PLEASE NOTE: The fair IDs will only be used for junior fair exhibitors to collect their premiums from the Intel Premium Bank during the week of fair. Their admission pass for the week will be separate and will be sent directly to the email that is listed in 4-HOnline (4-H members) or was submitted by their advisors (FFA, Scouts, Steer Pool). Exhibitors will NOT be able to use their fair ID to enter the gates. More details will be coming out soon about admission passes.
If an exhibitor does not submit a photo through the portal linked below by Friday, July 21, 2023 at NOON, they will not have a fair ID. This just means that they will be unable to collect their premiums from the Intel Premium Bank. A parent or advisor with their drivers license will need to pick up their premiums instead.
Junior Fair Exhibitors can submit their photos through this portal: https://www.lobbytrack.com/c/hartfordfair
