One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Chinese

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Chinese. Area and period of specialization is open. Ph.D. in Chinese studies (literature, linguistics, culture, film) must be in hand by start date of August 1, 2017. Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required. Teaching load is 4/4, with a mix of upper- and lower-division courses. Candidates must already be eligible for full-time employment in the United States for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Applicants should fully describe their qualifications and experience, with specific reference to each of the minimum and preferred qualifications because this is the information on which the initial review of materials will be based.
