The East Asian Languages and Literatures Department at Hamilton College seeks applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of advanced Assistant or Associate Professor of Chinese, to begin July 1, 2016. The candidate for the position must have a Ph.D. in Chinese Language Pedagogy, Linguistics, or Second Language Acquisition. Experience teaching college-level Chinese is essential.  The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper-level courses, develop basic language materials, and supervise language instruction in our nationally recognized Chinese program. The successful candidate will also be responsible for academic coordination with the Administrative Director of Hamilton’s Associated Colleges in China language program in Beijing.
