Life Skills Basket and Bake Sale Auctions

  1. Alcoholic beverages and lottery tickets CANNOT be part of any baskets in our Silent Auction. This applies to baskets from 4-H clubs and baskets donated by individuals. Clarification on alcohol and gambling policies as they relate to our Silent Auction has been provided by the 4-H Extension Office.

  1. Clubs donating baskets must take a photo of the basket and provide a list of all items it contains. Photos must be 8×10 in size. Drop off your photo and list to Charlotte Jermy’s attention at the Fair Board Office or place it into Charlotte’s mailbox located outside her exterior office door by August 19. Or, send a high-resolution picture of your basket and list of items via email to Belinda Sasala by August 19. Belinda’s email is belinda_sasala@yahoo.com.

  1. The photo or email must include the name of your club and your contact information. If your club is doing more than one basket, indicate which basket is for scholarship only.

  1. If you are planning on doing a basket, please notify Carolyn Eiermann via email or phone by August 19 or earlier. Carolyn’s email is eiermannfamily@aol.com; Carolyn’s phone is 330-842-0732.

  1. Baskets will be received between 11 a.m. and noon on Sunday, August 29, in the H Building (Entertainment Center). The basket must be identified as a club basket or a scholarship basket when delivered to the H Building.  Baskets will be on display until 4 p.m. when the winners of each basket are announced. Baskets should be picked up by 5 p.m., unless other arrangements have been made.

  1. There are new rules for the Bake Sale Auction. The new Sealed Container Rules for the Bake Sale Auction are REQUIRED by Fair Board and are attached to this email.

Please direct any questions to Carolyn.
