Dear Whitewood Family,
It is that time of year again when camp is looking for new members to add to our summer staff. We are looking for individuals who would not only enjoy making a positive impact in children’s lives, but who also want to have a blast all summer long! If you or anyone you know might be interested in a position here at Camp Whitewood, please check out or pass on the following information.
Every year Camp serves hundreds of campers from various parts of Ohio, other states, or even other countries. We are able to serve these campers through engaging outdoor education lessons, a great sense of community, and respect for all. Our staff is able to foster many positive peer relations amongst campers. This is only possible with a great staff who focuses on encouraging, supporting, and mentoring campers throughout every week of the summer.
We are currently looking to hire around 16 new positions here at Camp Whitewood. These positions consist of the following:
- Assistant Program Director
- Day Camp Coordinator
- Day Camp Staff
- Wilderness Coordinator
- Wilderness Staff
- Shooting Sports Specialist
- Boating Specialist
- Arts and Crafts Specialist
- Outdoor Education Specialist
- Cabin Counselors
A potential candidate possesses the ability to plan and implement a variety of outdoor lessons while maintaining flexibility, time management skills, and a positive, high energy attitude throughout each and every day. In addition, the candidate has great people skills and is able to uphold relationships with coworkers in order to create an enriching and safe environment for campers, families and other staff. Candidates must be 18 years of age.

4-H Camp Whitewood needs our help!
We are so thankful for the support our community has shown so far and are still looking for support to help us meet our goal. Any contribution made helps support camp this summer.
This week we are asking for families to share their favorite camp song. We hope you will too! Be creative, post a video of you or your camper singing their favorite song. How many friends, campers or counselors can you get together virtually to share camp songs?
Share a song on Camp’s Facebook!
Our goal of $30,000 for this fundraiser and exactly 21 days left for the campaign. WE CAN DO IT! We can only reach this goal with the help of all of YOU. We recognize that $30,000 will surely not make up for our losses, but we need to do everything we can to make sure our camp is still here for 2021 and beyond.
