Reminder: Quality Assurance and Horse Safety & Ethics Training

FFA and 4-H members who are planning to exhibit a food quality animal for the 2019 Clermont County Fair must participate in Assuring Quality Care for Animals (a.k.a. QA Training) by June 1st.

The following animals MUST attend AQCA training each year, unless they have completed and passed the test out option:

  • market steers/heifers
  • feeder calves
  • lactating dairy goats
  • lactating dairy cattle
  • market lambs
  • market hogs
  • market goats
  • market poultry
  • meat rabbits

FFA and 4-H members who are planning to exhibit an equine project for the first time (regardless of age) must participate in Horse Safety and Ethics.

Wed., April 24 Felicity H.S. Horse Safety & Ethics 5:00 p.m.
Wed., April 24 Felicity H.S. Quality Assurance 6:30 p.m.
Sat., April 27 4-H Hall Quality Assurance 10:30 a.m.
Sat., April 27 4-H Hall Horse Safety & Ethics 11:30 a.m.
Mon., April 29 Grant Career Center Horse Safety & Ethics 5:00 p.m.
Mon., April 29 Grant Career Center Quality Assurance 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 18 Clermont County Fairgrounds Horse Safety & Ethics TBD
Thurs., May 23 4-H Hall Poultry Clinic with Quality Assurance 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

UPDATE: The poultry clinic will be open to all exhibitors.  Anyone can attend the poultry clinic and receive credit for quality assurance, regardless of project.  However, the activities will be geared toward poultry.

Registration will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of each program.
