Date: 28 – February -2019
Time: 9:10-10:05
Members Present: Larenz Coles, Tara Maynard, Brittany Shine, & Allan Thomas
Location: Hitchcock 308
Objective:
Begin planning aR&D testing and writing methodologies.
Topics Discussed: Lab 7
- Tara volunteered to submit the committee meeting reflection
- The team discussed how a physical brake would be implemented
- Brittany explained that the servo motor is coded to flip out to a certain angle
- Tara suggested getting a stick and putty and attaching it to the servo
- Allan named possible materials (popsicle sticks, eventually a 3D printed part)
- The team discussed with Sheng the timeline of producing a 3D printed wheel and realized that it may not be possible to get it in time for aR&D testing
- The team discussed that control data must be collected for aR&D testing because the AEV design has changed
- It was a team decision to do control tests first and add the brake for experimental data; power vs distance data would be collected using data extraction tool
To Do/Action Items:
- Submit committee meeting reflection (Tara – Mar 1)
- Get materials for testing (Tara – Mar 1)
- Finish Graphics 16 (Larenz/Allan – Mar 1)
Reflections:
- The physical brake may take trial and error
- The team needs a backup plan for the 3D printed wheel
