Next in the Ohio Sustainable Farm Tour and Workshop Series are two Aug. 8 events for young farmers, beginning farmers, urban farmers or all three.
- Young and Beginning Farmers Q&A and Networking Session, 6 to 8 p.m., Rambling House Soda, Columbus. Talk to farm lawyers from Dublin, Ohio-based Barrett, Easterday, Cunningham & Eselgroth. Co-hosts are the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Young Farmers Coalition and the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association. Free.
- Food Bank Urban Farm Tour, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Urban Farm at Southeast Ohio Regional Kitchen, Logan. The farm uses raised beds and biointensive production, provides fresh produce to be exchanged for Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons, and also provides produce to Meals on Wheels and USDA’s Summer Food Service Program. Free.
