Tough times. We’re seeing hard things to understand related to respect of choices and decisions by others. Let’s take this opportunity to talk to our kids about what respect looks like, especially when you disagree. Whether it’s related to race issues, Pepsi or Coca-Cola brand preferences, or what is happening with fairs, there’s a way to convey your opinion that is respectful. This is a skill we need to talk about, practice, and model with our young people. It’s a muscle we need to build. Especially when they aren’t in school or around peers as much to practice it themselves. It’s more important than ever.
