Adult volunteers are an essential element of the Greene County 4-H Youth Development program. Volunteers contribute their time and talents to 4-H and in return, 4-H has the responsibility to provide them with the positive youth development knowledge and skills they need to effectively work with youth.
4-H Volunteers are required to attend one (1) training session in order to maintain their volunteer status for the 2018 4-H year. Click here to view the training schedule.

NEW! Online Volunteer Training Option
New for 2018, 4-H volunteers with two previous, continuous years of volunteer experience (2016 and 2017) may complete their required training online. Please note that this is a pilot program and may or may not be continued in the future. At least one volunteer from each club should still attend an in-person training to receive the updates and club information for the year. Please note that all training must be completed by February 22 to be an active volunteer in 2018!
About the Online Training
- Completed online through 4HOnline (software we use for enrollment)
- Please plan 90—120 minutes. The time needed will vary by person. The training does not need to be done in one sitting – you may leave the training at the end of any module. It is not recommended to leave mid-module. Firefox is required to run the training modules.
- To meet the training requirements you must complete three modules
1. Year 1 OSU Policy 1.50 Child Abuse and Neglect Training
2. OSU Policy 1.50 Child Abuse and Neglect Quiz
3. Any additional module of your choice (8 Key Elements, Club Financials, Club Structure, Membership, Name & Emblem or Mission, Vision, and Values) - Click here for the online training instructions.
