The OSU Extension is a dynamic educational entity that partners with individuals, families, communities, business and industry, and organizations to strengthen the lives of Ohioans. It has helped people in all four of its major areas of Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, Community Development, and Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The Agriculture and Natural Resources group helps farmers strengthen their businesses, adopt new technologies, and improve efficiency while protecting the environment. They also help landowners manage woodlands and protect streams and watersheds. A Batelle study recently found that OSU Extension generates $159 million of Ohio economic output and more that 1,918 Ohio jobs.
