The Medical Dietetics division within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences was the first Coordinated Medical Dietetics Program recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association). The program was unique because it was the first to combine regular classes and supervised practice so that a student could complete all program requirements in four years (instead of five). The Medical Dietetics Faculty at Ohio State is rich in experienced practice-based practitioners, offering integration among classroom learning, research, and supervised practice.
