Bee Culture editor to speak Wednesday

The 2018 webinar series by CFAES’s Bee Lab continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, with a talk called “Ethics in Beekeeping.” Speaking will be Kim Flottum, the editor of Medina-based Bee Culture magazine and the author of The Backyard Beekeeper and Better Beekeeping, among others.

Near Columbus: Sustainable Beekeeping Farm Tour and Workshop

July 9.Also on July 9 in the Ohio Sustainable Farm Tour and Workshop Series is the Sustainable Beekeeping Farm Tour and Workshop at the Stratford Ecological Center in Delaware near Columbus. This one’s a two-parter, too: The tour is from 10 a.m. to noon, the workshop from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. The tour is free. The workshop is $10 and you have to sign up ahead of time. He’ll talk on “What’s Going on in the Beekeeping World” from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in 121 Fisher Auditorium, 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster.
