Rattan Lal, Distinguished University Professor of Soil Science in CFAES’ School of Environment and Natural Resources, will speak on a panel titled “Facing the Greatest Challenge of Our Time: Agriculture’s Role in Impacting Climate Change” at the World Food Prize’s 2019 Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium.
‘Peace through agriculture’
The event, known informally as the “Borlaug Dialogue” and set for Oct. 16–18 in Iowa, is bringing together more than 1,200 people from more than 65 countries to address cutting-edge issues related to global food security and nutrition. The theme is “Pax Agricultura: Peace Through Agriculture.”
