Everyone Counts in Clermont County

Have you submitted your 2020 census?
The U.S. Census Bureau has moved the deadline to respond to the 2020 Census to Sept. 30, 2020. You can respond online at www.2020census.gov, by phone at 1-844-330-2020 or by using the paper form in the questionnaire packet sent to your home.
It’s quick, completely confidential and provides funding for our community!

Everyone Will Be Counted in the 2020 Census

Census Partnership Web BadgeThe 2020 Census data collection will begin in mid-March. Data collected in the census will inform the distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funds to states and communities each year for things like infrastructure, health care, and food assistance. It is important that everyone respond to the 2020 Census.

Direct federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, and other public services; help communities prepare to meet transportation and emergency readiness needs; and determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and political representation at all levels of government. The census is so important that every household’s response is required by law, and answers are kept confidential. Every household will have the option to respond online, by mail, or by phone. Data will be collected face-to-face from those who do not or cannot respond in another way. More information is available at https://2020census.gov/.

2020 Junior Fair Board Applications

Junior Fair Board (JFB) is currently accepting applications for 2020.  JFB members oversee many important tasks for the Clermont County Junior Fair.  Members solicit award sponsorships, organize the awards and supplies for all youth events (pre-fair week and during the week), assist in the execution of various Junior Fair events and activities, and assist in planning before the fair for facilities, judges, rules, etc. They work in a cooperative effort with the Senior Fair Board, Senior Superintendents, Extension Office staff and club/chapter advisors.

Youth ages 13-18 who are involved in a youth organization are eligible to apply.  Participation in the Junior Fair Board is a excellent opportunity for youth to development leadership and organizational skills; plus, it looks great on a resume!  Applications are online this year and are due by Friday, October 11.  Click the links below to apply.

Thank You, Volunteers!

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Thank you all for being key to our success.  It was a pleasure to celebrate so many wonderful individuals, members, clubs and 4-H supporters at our annual 4-H Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.  Congratulations to Sharon Francis, 4-H Volunteer of the Year and Clermont County Juvenile Court & Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia Post, Friends of 4-H Award recipients!

We appreciate our volunteers and all they do to make Clermont County 4-H successful!

You’re the key…

We’re excited to come together next week to celebrate our accomplishments and those who make it all possible!  Don’t forget to be key in helping others.  We’re collecting donations from the four H’s to support under-served youth in our community.
