With more than 100,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors on campus each day, we all need to look out for our fellow Buckeyes while walking, biking and driving.
Please be aware of the increasing scooter traffic on campus. Motorized scooter users must follow all applicable state and local laws, ordinances and university policies. The university recently published motorized scooter safety guidelines. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these guidelines.
- Wear a helmet
- Never block pedestrian walkways or ADA access
- Stay off sidewalks
- Slow down to get around
- The Oval is a walk-zone: scooters, bikes and skateboards are prohibited
Pedestrians can enhance safety by using marked crosswalks and sidewalks. Everyone should eliminate distracted behaviors by refraining from texting, removing earbuds and being aware of your surroundings.
