This fall, the Buckeye Opportunity Program is expected to benefit 3,000 Ohio students on the Columbus campus. Under an expansion of the program, the university will increase financial support for low- and moderate-income Ohio students on the university’s five regional campuses, which includes Ohio State ATI located on the CFAES Wooster campus.
Starting in spring 2019, the university will commit up to $3 million a year in additional financial aid to cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for regional campus students who are from Ohio, qualify for federal Pell Grants, have successfully started their college career by earning 12 credit hours, and have initiated or completed a student-success course. The regional expansion, which begins spring semester 2019, will support an additional 1,200 students in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark, and Ohio State ATI.
