J.D. Vance, best-selling author of Hillbilly Elegy, will propose a hands-on approach to problems facing his native state of Ohio—opioid addiction, under-preparedness of the workforce, and domestic instability— on Tuesday Nov. 7 at 4:30 p.m. in Mershon Auditorium.
Through his nonprofit organization, Our Ohio Renewal, he’ll tackle issues that shaped his upbringing in Middletown. Vance is an Ohio State alumnus and a scholar in residence in the Political Science Department. The lecture is free but registration is requested.
