Training Opportunity for Wooster Campus

The Office of Human Resources, in partnership with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), will host a unique training opportunity for the Ohio State Wooster campus community next Thursday, Jan. 19.

The top trainers from OOD will facilitate this highly interactive training program – Challenging Myths, Fears and Vulnerabilities for Hiring, Interviewing and Employing Individuals with Disabilities. This session is based on Windmills, a national training curriculum developed in California for business and now customized for The Ohio State University.

The class is designed to enhance awareness of cultural diversity, examine implicit attitudes and biases toward people with disabilities and provide information to better understand how to comply with the spirit and letter of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The session will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Fisher Conference Room.

Ohio State’s faculty and staff, especially the HR community and hiring managers who will be on the Wooster campus that day, are encouraged to attend this session. Three hours of continuing education credits will be offered to certified HRPs.

RSVP to Jane Douglas (Douglas.170@osu.edu).
