Many across the college are regular users of our Camtasia Relay presentation/lecture capturing technology. The service has been in place since 2009 and is vital to many of our teaching and Extension efforts. The server that stores the Relay files is nearing its storage capacity. In order to allow for new files to be added without interruption, the IT Services team will be archiving a large number of older files in order to regain the needed storage on the server.
The archiving process will begin on 2/8/16. The files will not be deleted. Instead, they will be archived and stored offline for safekeeping and will be available by request. The files that will be archived were created between 2009 and 2013. If you have a file from that time period that you still actively use then it can remain on the server at your request. Contact Ken Kulka at kulka.1@osu.edu by 2/1/16 with the name of the file and the date that it was recorded and it will be excluded from this archive process and remain available online. Newer files will be left online.
